Sorry, but I can’t stop wondering why? Like, I know you can speed up the video, but I’ve never used it. I saw this by accident because I found a song that I liked and saw a comment where somebody said, “put it on 1.25x speed” (because sometimes a song sounds different that way). But my brain was really confused when I saw that 4x speed is now a premium feature? Also they made the speed thing really unnecessarily complicated with a slider etc. Like, what was wrong with the selector? I understand that YouTube is all in the business of making more money and optimization. But in what world does this work? Like, it feels more complicated, and who even uses 4x? Are they going to remove it at some point when they see nobody with Premium uses it? I dunno, somebody that uses 4x, please let me know.
